A fine resource made available from ESRI that enables users to see the latest maps, web services, and applications devoted to monitoring and tracking the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. The content is being published by ESRI and other organizations to support response and mitigation activities. It seemed for days (although it felt like weeks) its been tough (or near impossible) to locate anything at all related to the situation, except for a few satellite images showing the oil spill location.
Users and emergency responders working in the area are invited to contact the team in order to join the group and share their related apps, services, data and resources. See the ArcGIS Online (BETA) ESRI Gulf Oil Spill Response
